I'm a Particle Physics Researcher educated at UCLA, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Physics. My work is for the largest particle collider on earth, The Large Hadron Collider (LHC). I search for new Physics beyond The Standard Model, build custom high-speed electronics for data taking, and write custom low-latency algorithms in firmware for real-time reconstriction of Muons for CMS, which are essential pieces to many physics analyses at CMS. The detector upgrade work I have contributed is for the next generation of Particle Physics at the LHC, the Phase-2 Upgrade (HL-LHC). There has been a recent surge in effort to search for Long-Lived Particles at colliders, so we have developed algorithms with high resolution that can reconstruct longitudinal displacement away from the beamline in real-time. In addition, our physics analysis also searches for LLP's using a novel approach to estimate vertex location, despite the detector not being built for these kind of searches.
